Job Overview

Administrative District Council 1 of Illinois has an open position for a Marble Organizer.

The Union is reaching out to our Ceramic Tile & Terrazzo members with a job opportunity. One of our members is retiring from the Chicago Tile & Terrazzo Benefit Fund office.

Wednesday’s announcement brings us one step closer to repairing, rebuilding and restoring our country. Working people are continuing to bear the brunt of the greatest national crisis since the Great Depression, and any just recovery will require unprecedented federal investments in the working communities that have lost the most.

In an effort to help our members keep up-to-date with the latest information and resources regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, please click on the links below to the U.S.

To all members:

As you are all aware our country has been dealing with the Coronavirus for nearly one year.

My ongoing concern is the safety of our membership and making available information that is passed on to us by health officials.

Please take the time to read this factsheet and take precautions to protect yourselves and your family members.

With all this in mind, I will be CANCELING ALL IN-PERSON UNION MEETINGS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Our Business Representatives have been meeting with and hand delivering the 25, 40, and 50 year awards to our hard working members who deserve to be recognized for their years of service. Below are some pictures from our members, to whom we extend our heartfelt congratulations.

Next year we are hoping to resume our tradition of meeting in person to celebrate these career milestones.

Thank you again to all our members for your years of service and dedication to the union.

Congratulations and best wishes to you!

Fraternally,

The application window has closed for 2021. Please check back in January 2022 for information regarding the 2022 application process and timeline.

One of our members, Irvin Wheeler, lost his home during a recent apartment fire.  Thankfully, Irvin, his wife, and two daughters were able to make it out without injury, but everything they owned was lost. On behalf of ADC1 of Illinois, we want to thank everyone for their support and generosity shown to the Wheeler family during this difficult time. We were able to drop off clothing & cash donations from our members and office staff along with a generous furniture donation.

On behalf of the Officers and members of Administrative District Council 1 of Illinois, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our members who this year have achieved 50, 40 and 25 years of service and commitment to the union. Without your many years of hard work and support, the Local and its members would not be where we are today.

On this Veteran's Day, we want to salute and express our profound appreciation to our Veteran members and all Veterans throughout this country. Your unwavering courage, sacrifice and dedication have allowed all Americans to enjoy freedoms we at times take for granted.

We are very happy and proud to announce our own Liliana Calderon, Journeyperson Bricklayer, has been honored with receiving the North America's Buiding Trades Unions Tradeswomen Heroes Award.

This award was created in a joint effort between NABTU’s Tradeswomen’s Committee and Apprenticeship and Training Committee to congratulate and spotlight the dedicated tradeswomen within NABTU’s affiliate unions.
