As the Labor Day holiday approaches, and as your President of BAC District Council 1 of Illinois, I am requesting that at some point over this holiday weekend that you, and all of our ADC members, pause for a moment to reflect on where you've been and where you are going in support of the labor movement and the ADC.

BAC annually awards three scholarships to students whose parents or step-parents are US BAC members. The stipends are $5,000 per year for up to four years – up to $20,000 total.

Each year, the Chicago Federation of Labor awards 10 William A. Lee Memorial Scholarships to high school seniors, five to the winners of the Academic Competition, and five to the winners of the Random Drawing. The scholarships, valued at $2,000 each, may be used at any accredited college or university in the United States.

CISCO has begun to accept applications for its long-standing Annual Scholarship Awards Program.  Applications for this program are available by clicking on one of the three types of scholarship awards below. 

Since 1991, the Union Plus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $4.5 million to students of union families.  Ranging from $500 to $4,000, Union Plus scholarships are one-time awards for study beginning in the Fall of 2020, and students may re-apply each year.
