Congratulations to ADC President Jim Allen who received the Rerum Novarum Award  for labor from the Archdiocese of Chicago.

The District Council wants to see your Proud Union Homes! Send pictures featuring your Proud Union Home signs and you will be entered into a special raffle at our Annual Members' BBQ in August.

Gubernatorial primary candidate J. B. Pritzker and State Comptroler candidate Susanna Mendoza stopped by your Union hall this week for a "town hall" type event and discussion.

It was the labor movement that helped secure so much of what we take for granted today. The 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, family leave, health insurance, Social Security, Medicare, retirement plans. The cornerstones of the middle-class security all bear the union label.
