About Us
Administrative District Council 1 of Illinois (ADC1 of IL) of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers was formed in January of 2009 when Illinois BAC Locals 20, 21, 56, 74, were merged to form the ADC 1 of IL. In 2023 BAC Local 79 was merged into ADC1. We represent approximately 6,800 Union trowel trades members in the Chicagoland area, including Bricklayers, Pointer - Cleaner - Caulker, Tile Layers and Tile Finishers, Marble Masons and Marble Finishers, Terrazzo Mechanics and Terrazzo Finishers, Plasterers, Precast Workers, Welders, Mosaic Workers and Foam Insulators. Our jurisdiction is the following 26 counties in northeast Illinois: Boone, Bureau, Carroll, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Ford, Grundy, Henry, Iroquois, Kane, Jo Daviess, Kankakee, Kenndall, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, Livingston, McHenry, Ogle, Putnam, Stark, Stephenson, Will, Winnebago, and Whiteside.
