A member of Local 21 since 1988, Mike Volpentesta was appointed President of the Administrative District Council 1 effective April 1, 2021.  

Mike became a journeyman Bricklayer in 1988 and founded MV Masonry in 1991 doing small commercial masonry and concrete work. In 2006 he was hired to run and help develop the Bricklayers Labor Management Co-Operative Committee. In 2011 he was appointed Business Agent of ADC1 of Illinois. In 2017 Mike was appointed Director of Organizing while continuing in his Business Agent position. In June 2020 Mike was appointed to Secretary-Treasurer. Mike currently serves as a Trustee on the ADC Pension Fund. 

In his current position, President Volpentesta has the responsibility of overseeing the day to day operations of the Administrative District Council (ADC).
